INTRODUCTION:
Entresto contains two medications: sacubitril and valsartan. Sacubitril belongs to a class of drugs called neprilysin inhibitors and valsartan belongs to a class of drugs called angiotensin receptor blockers (ARBs).
USES OF THE DRUG:
Entresto works by relaxing blood vessels so that blood can flow more easily, which makes it easier for your heart to pump blood to your body. It is indicated to reduce risk of cardiovascular death and hospitalization in chronic heart failure.
MAIN USES:
Entresto is used to treat heart failure.
SIDE EFFECTS:
Cough, dizziness, faintness, or lightheadedness when getting up suddenly from a lying or sitting position, low blood pressure, hyperkalemia (high potassium level).
